Dolphins hire Mike Nolan as defensive coordinator

<div id="subtitle">Former 49ers head coach Mike Nolan hired as Dolphins' defensive coordinator</div><div><p>Former San Francisco 49ers coach Mike Nolan has been hired as the Miami Dolphins' defensive coordinator.</p><p>The Dolphins hired Nolan on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the announcement of his departure as defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos.</p><p>Nolan replaces Paul Pasqualoni, who was fired after two seasons.</p><p>Nolan was the 49ers' head coach in 2005-08. He spent one year with Denver and has been a defensive coordinator with four other NFL teams: Baltimore (2002-04), the New York Jets (2000), Washington (1997-99) and the New York Giants (1993-96).</p><p>Earlier Tuesday, the Dolphins announced the hiring of former New York Giants assistant coach Bill Sheridan as inside linebackers coach.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=67286571&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
