Heat sign guard Rafer Alston

<div><p>MIAMI (Reuters) - The Miami Heat have signed free agent guard Rafer Alston, the NBA team said in a statement on Thursday.</p><p>Alston, who was released by the New Jersey Nets on Tuesday, averaged 9.7 points and 3.9 assists in 27 games this season.</p><p>He has played for six different teams during his 11-year career, including the Heat during the 2003-04 season, averaging 10.3 points, 4.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds.
