Red Sox reach deal with pitching ace Papelbon

<div><p>The Boston Red Sox avoided arbitration with Jonathan Papelbon by signing their all-star pitcher to a one-year, 9.35 million dollar contract.</p><p>Papelbon is the Red Sox all-time leader in saves with 151 in just four seasons as the club's closing pitcher. He made 6.25 million dollars last season.</p><p>The right-hander recorded 38 saves in 66 appearances last season and has a career 1.84 ERA with 346 strikeouts.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=67323801&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
