<div><p>The Boston Red Sox avoided arbitration with Jonathan Papelbon by signing their all-star pitcher to a one-year, 9.35 million dollar contract.</p><p>Papelbon is the Red Sox all-time leader in saves with 151 in just four seasons as the club's closing pitcher.
